Top 24 Results - Nothing shocking here.

Is it just me or are the judges a little harder on the guys this year? Don't get me wrong, they were way below the girls but I thought last year's Top 12 Men/Boys were weaker. Or maybe it was because I was pretty meh on last Season other than Chris and Elliott.

Anyway, they give a preview of all the stars that will be appearing on American Idol this Season. Herman's Hermits? What, Chad and Jeremy weren't available? ;P

The Group Song: Seeds of Love by Tears for Fears?! What are they smoking over there this year? The group sings always feel cheesy to me until they get to the Top 6 or so, but this was probably the worst one yet.

First Men's Elimination: They torture Paul Kim by letting him hear that five other contestants were safe before breaking the news. I can't say that he looked surprised, but he did look like he either wanted to hurl or cry and that made me feel bad.

Then he did his singout and reminded me of why he needed to go. Was he wearing shoes? I forgot to check.

First Women's Elimination: Once again, the back row is called up with Antonella in the Paul Kim slot of doom. She is SAFE and freaks the hell out, so now I wonder how they are going to screw with the front row. I didn't have to wonder for long, because Tall Quad was called up and axed quickly.

She took it rather stoically and did a nice singout. That's about all.

Fantasia made an appearance to announce that she will be in the Broadway play The Color Purple. She sang "I'm Here" and WOW do the judges still love her or what? I liked her on AI3 and so happy to see her still doing so well.

Second Women's Elimination: Now its the rest of the front row until ohhhh its between two of the Quads. Please be Alaina....please be Alaina..... DAMN IT, Nicole is gone.

WOW, Simon looked a little pissed off and I don't blame him. Nicole was upbeat and sang out like a pro.

Second Men's Elimination: You knew what was coming, Rudy and Sanjaya in the bottom two and Sanjaya is safe. I get the feeling he will Chicken Little his way into the Top 12.

Rudy actually seemed a bit relieved about the whole thing and did his Free Ride again, but the hip thrusts were gone. Someone has been reading message boards, obviously.

Then the Montage of losers was shown, but without that Bad Day song that I once thought was catchy but grew to despise. I guess I wasn't the only one.

Ok, so I would be useless in Vegas. I was only 1 for 4 on my picks to go home but I can't say any of those that WERE picked surprised me. At least now we are down to twins instead of quads and we got rid of ONE of the girls whose name starts with an A. I believe this will make life easier next week.

Oh and Spork, Paul was wearing shoes last night. I'm sure he's going to claim that's what did him in.

I can really see why the judges love Fantasia. She does seem very nice and boy can she perform. She must just collapse after each concert performance. That girl leaves it all out there on the stage. Wow.

Oy vey! Do I stink at this "let's pick who's going home" bit. I didn't even have any of the four that went home in my bottom four! What does this say about me? I like sucky singers apparently?

Does anyone else get distracted by what's going on when you're not into the song? During that group number I forgot all about the singing and kept noticing that half the contestants couldn't keep a straight face. Why is this? Probably b/c they knew it sucked too.

Ryan was too mean to the tall one, that was just brutal. Back row you're safe, Amy please join me in the center b/c you are going home. Couldn't he at least buttered her up a bit? She looked crushed, like her puppy died or something. Then again I still can't remember what she sang.

Paul wore shoes and all I can say is Thank You Jeebus! At least I got to hear him sing this time w/o getting distracted by the feet.

When Nicole left I have I was half expecting Alaina to turn to the judges and say "Take that". Wouldn't that have been great...

And poor Rudy, he didn't stand a chance at winning but dude had to leave instead of the Leify Garrett tooth boy!

I know what you're saying about getting distracted by what is off stage. I get distracted by the parents. Mostly, that all of the moms look alike. Seriously! It's as though they're sitting the same women next to the dads.

And Ryan did his usual at least one evil elimination of the season with Amy. Remember Judd Harris from season 4? Now THAT was harsh.

Oh Antonella. What is a nice Catholic college girl like yourself doing posing for naughty pictures? What would the Pope say? And what will America say? Hmmm...

Not sure what America will say, but I know what THE SPORK will say if it is indeed Antonella in those pics.

Yes, I did take one for the team and looked at them. At a quick glance, it does look like her. If it is, she will be gone from AI this weekend.

OH that is awesome! ahahahahahahahahaha!

I just saw the pics. If it was indeed her, she sure is in a bubble right now. AI has DQ'ed contestants before for much lesser offenses. So I wonder if they end up DQ'ing her, will they bring back one of the lady contestants who got eliminated?

She sure has crappy friends. Too bad for her.

I also wonder if she will be DQ'd. I suppose it depends on the AI contract and if there is an enforcible "moral turpitude" clause.

She will probably be STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to bow out. The microphone skills jokes are already starting and will only continue if she stays.

So now I wonder how they will do this DQ thing. Does AI have a standard on how to DQ or not? What is considered "unacceptable," and on the other hand, what is considered "it's in the past, let's move on and forgive"? I remember back in Season 4, 3 of the top 12 have "troubled" pasts - Anwar and gay porn, Bo and his drug problems, and Scott and his wifebeating charges. Yet, none of them were DQ'ed or "encouraged" to bow out. Especially in Bo's case, I read that TPTB said it was in the past and he has turned over a new leaf so it doesn't matter anymore. So how about Toilet Girl's case? Maybe it depends if she's one of TPTB's favorites or not. If she is, like Bo was, they'll just probably say it's in the past and she won't do it again.

I don't think Anwar was involved with gay porn, just that he was registered on a gay dating site.

Now there are naughty pics of her posing on a WWII memorial wearing no panties. Hmmm, any bets as to what is coming next?
