Carrie performed on Saturday Night Live last night, which was quite an honor. Only six other Country artists have been invited to perform on SNL, including Faith Hill, Dixie Chicks, and Keith Urban.In my opinion, her performances of Before He Cheats and Wasted were the best ones she has ever done LIVE. I do wish she had taken part in a skit though because I think she would have been good. Could you imagine if they had spoofed the whole Faith Hill WHAT?! drama? Or the whole Tony Romo "I fumbled a major play because I am so in looooooooove with Carrie" drama? Either of those would have been awesome and very funny, but alas nobody asked me. (Sidenote for the Romowoods: Its been reported that Carrie was spotted around the SNL studios wearing a Dallas Cowboys sweatshirt. Must be a sign!)
In addition to watching Carrie, her band is always entertaining. Its full of talent and eyecandy of the male variety - Fiddler Boy, the two guitarists MMMMMMM. Carrie's first guitarist Mark O was the best eyecandy, but he sadly isn't there any longer. That might be a good thing because otherwise it would have been alltogether too much sexy on the stage last night. Then there is Carrie's backup singer. The girl is talented, no doubt, but hasn't learned the fine backup singer art of staying in THE BACKGROUND. This girl wants attention and the spotlight, it oozes from her. She should've tried out for AI this year, since they love the backup singers; next year, it will be old news.

Have I ever said before that I love Sassy Carrie, that look she gives when she sings "and he don't knooooooowwww" just kills me! And the outfit! Yeah, I am sure Mrs Underwood will get more letters telling her that Carrie needs to cover up more, but whatever I LOVE IT! For such a little person, she has legs that go on for miles and for that I have to hate her a little bit. And that "too skinny" talk? Pshhhh, she looks great - very toned.

I like this song as well and Carrie did such a great job. I think being in NYC really agrees with her. Also, I loved how Fiddler Boy GOT DOWN on this song. To be honest, I didn't care for this dress so much but it still showed off those legs and that makes up for everything!

Before He Cheats was brilliant and Carrie has perfected her performance of this right down to the look on her face. My Carrie can move her hips to the rhythm, ha ha. And I thought she looked so fit! I could understand that some people thought she was getting way too thin but take a look people! This is the body of someone who is toned and healthy.
Waaaaaaaasted is one of my favourite songs on the album and Carrie always does it justice live. It's a crowd pleaser and Mr Ashley Clark comes into his own every time! This performance was amazing with lots of energy and perfect vocals.
Carrie's band really are great, they look good an sound even better. Nikki and Carrie's voices blend really well because Nikki can siiiing but she's always so INTENSE with her facial expressions.. But yeah, you do notice her more than the usual backup singer, maybe because she's had her own success as the lead. *shrugs*
Oh and I can't end this this comment without mentioning THE LEGS. Summer is a coming so I think we might get to see more of Carrie's toned pins which is good news. I find it hard not to stare at them, probably because I'm jealous *sigh*

I'm going along with the crowd here and saying that those had to be 2 of the best live performances of those songs yet and I LOVED Ashley's solo at the end of 'Wasted'. I don't know about Nikki standing out but her red boots during Wasted sure did. Wow! Those were SOME boots! I really do love how her voice blends with Carrie's though.
I LOVED that Sanjaya skit. How funny was that?! LOL! Was that Dan Akroyd sitting in the audience craying along with Pigtails?
Can I just say that I totally hate myself right now? Because I stayed up late and put an alarm on my TV to make sure I don't miss it. And I actually saw the first few skits of Peyton. But the next thing I knew, it was already 12:50am and I totally missed everything Carrie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why do I have to fall asleep!!!!!AAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!Poor ole pathetic me just saw Carrie at the ending credits. :(
Ok, venting over. So now I have to resort to YouTube links to get to see her performances. And it was the BOMB! Wasted was so the YO, but yes, the best part of the performances were THE LEGS! OMG! We all have to kidnap Carrie and force her to give up her secret about getting legs, like you guys said, that go on forever! So unfair!

I was just reading that this past week's SNL had the highest ratings it has had in 10 months. Yeah, yeah I'm sure Peyton Manning hosting had something to do with it but I think Carrie... and her legs... had something to do with it too.

I know some people on her fan club saw the shirt she wore to rehearsals and to tape the promo commericals and said they thought it was a Cowboys shirt. I thought it was just a black shirt with stars on it but then again I don't have the Dallas Cowboys apparel line memorized.

Ummm NO! Taylor wasn't one bit sexy to me on Idol EVER. Carrie and Anthony weren't as sexy on AI as they are now, so the person who made the list prob chose from their AI memories of the contestants. Maybe Anthony looked too young/geeky for them and Carrie looked too wholesome.

Hey I went and saw Jason Aldean in concert this weekend and Carrie got 3 ...well technically just 2 1/2...shoutouts during the show. The first one came from the opening act who was good (just not good enough for me to remember her name. It was Sara...something). She was introducing one of her songs and asked if the audience knew who Carrie Underwood was. They did and apparently they like her :-). Anyway she mentioned JTTW and how Gordie Sampson was one of the writers and how he wrote this next song she was going to sing. So that was kind of cool.
The second one came from Jason himself who was listing off his accomplishments from the past year. He said that one of his songs was up for CMT Breakthrough Video of the Year last year...and he lost. Said he got his ass kicked by one Carrie Underwood (Again, the crowd cheered at the mention of her name. Apparently the crowd thought she should have won too). But that's ok, he's not angry.
The third was a psuedo shout-out. Jason and his band gave Guns & Roses a try and played Sweet Child of Mine. It was good but not like Carrie's "Holy Cow! That's awesome!!" kind of good. Maybe Jason needs to learn the Axl Rose dance or something.
Anyway, I just thought it was pretty cool that even at concerts of other artists, you just can't get away from Carrie.
Carrie's living that magical time where her name is everywhere now. I hope it lasts for a long time.
