Romowood Cheese!

Last night on the delusionfree messageboard, member bzzbarfly posted this picture she found on another Carrie Underwood fansite. It was taken on May 19th, when Carrie was in Los Angeles. Other than Carrie's new penchant for wearing things that look like "hospital gowns" and "housecoats" (as per the witty delusionfree members), the bracelet that Carrie was wearing also didn't go unnoticed.

Yes people, Carrie was indeed wearing the bracelet of her "Good friend that she tends to get flirty around" Tony Romo. Since Carrie is 24 years old - not 14 years old - this has to be one of the cheesiest and dorkiest things she has done in a while.

Which is why we all love her.

Anthony Fedorov at the Sarcoma Foundation of American Gala

Anthony Fedorov, his family, friends, and fans attended the Sarcoma Foundation of America's Gala on May 21, 2007. Anthony lost his brother Denis to Ewing's Sarcoma in September 2006 and has since been working closely with this foundation. As usual, Anthony continues to make me so proud to be his fan. You can find more pictures and accounts from fans who attended by visiting these links:

On more of a gossipy note, how hot are Anthony and his girlfriend Elisa?! Let me count the ways.....Ok, I won't really count the ways but they are one hot couple! Check out this video and their onstage dancing and kissing towards the last few minutes (at 6:38) and enjoy for yourself. Whooo hooooo!!!

He also performed two new, original songs. Thank you to Siny888 on TWOP for all of these videos!

American Idol Finale - I barely watched it

Well, I did kind of watch it. It seems the the American Idol Finale has lost the magic that it used to have. Even last year's was better and more exciting, even though I barely watched that entire Season. Not sure I will be watching next year, but anyway.....

There were some good, bad and funny moments. Rather than recap a whole two hour show that we all saw (and from reading around, others seem let down by it too), here are the things that actually had my attention.

Kelly Clarkson singing "Never Again". I don't really care for this song on radio, but I LOVED IT last night! Granted, I have never had a boyfriend leave me for another woman and then MARRY her, but I felt like I did while watching Kelly! That bastard! Carrie/Bo are the last American Idol CD's I bought, but I will definitely be buying Kelly's "My December".

Top 6 Guys with Smokey Robinson was great! They all seemed to be in top form, even Sanjaya sounded really very good. I never thought I would say this about this particular group of guys, but they smoked the girls tonight. Their Top 6 with Gladys Knight zzzzzzzzz.

Blake with Doug E Fresh. The beatboxing/rap really isn't my thing, but I really enjoyed this one. Blake is super talented, you can tell he has a real love for what he does and that is always inspiring and fun for me to watch. I am so glad that he didn't win last night because they would just take what he loves and turn it into a watered down mess. Oh sorry, I am not supposed to know he lost yet. ;)

Random funny things: Randy Jackson SERIOUSLY wearing that jacket and Constantine Maroulis pouting and ducklipping for the camera while pretending that Tony Bennett is his hero.

Melinda's performance. She sang a Gospel number (at least that is what it sounded like to me), which is a pretty big clue as to the direction she will probably take. Its a good fit for her and I will be buying that album. Awwww she still should've won - she would have made that This Is My....Just NO! craptastic into fantastic. *sigh*

Carrie Underwood! I am a fan and that is no secret, but I thought she stole the show with "I'll Stand By You". I loved it the first time, now love it even more. The whole thing, from her voice, her presence, the fiddle and guitars.....just simple and beautiful.

And the most uncomfortable American Idol Finale moment EVER! Clive Davis and his longwinded speech, where he pretty much dissed Kelly (mildly), and then overtly dissed Taylor Hicks and Katherine McPhee! Dear GAWD, this was so squirmworthy! Clive is like that bitter old relative at Thanksgiving dinner.....he has a gaggle of kids and most of them are no good and are huge disappointments and seems to think we (and they!) want to hear how disappointed he is! Ugh, by the time he got around to giving Carrie her recognition - there was nothing fun about it and I just wanted the old man to get off the stage. I am so glad Kelly Clarkson is sticking it to him over her album!

Funny/Annoying Moment: Sanjaya doing a reprise of "You Really Got Me". This kid is lucky that people seem to like him personally because this performance still sucked. This time, crying girl looked more terrified than overcome by squee. It was annoying because while Sanjaya was fun at times, I would much rather have seen more from the other (more talented) idols. Maybe another medley? CAKE duet? Sanjaya didn't deserve his own thing, so I think 19E has something cooking with him. *eyeroll*

The Beatles Medley: I loved this. I am somewhat familiar with nearly every Beatles song, since my Dad owns nearly every one of their albums. By far, the best and most touching was Carrie Underwood singing "She's Leaving" while backed by the Top 6 females. Chills. And then some tearing up.....really Spork get a grip! As soon as I find this on youtube, I will be watching it repeatedly.

Of course, a lot of other things happened but in the end.....Jordin is the new American Idol. I know, try and contain your surprise. Congratulations Jordin, I will be buying your album for my nieces.

American Idol Top 2 - This is my NOW

And I can barely type that title with a straight face! Its almost as bad as "Inside Your Thank You America". Almost. So then we pan the judges and Randy is wearing the worst thing I have ever seen on this show - its nearly indescribable, but think Michael Jackson meets your friendly CPA. Paula's nose doesn't look bad at all, but she sounds more nasally than Chris Richardson on his worst day, and then Simon who is back to looking a little yummy.

Blake Lewis - Doing a reprise of "You Give Love a Bad Name" and he used the same amount of mimage as last time, so I am not as freaked out this time. It was alright and I agreed with Randy - the vocals were meh but the performance was great!

Jordin Sparks - Sang "Fighter" and I really enjoyed her FINALLY singing a young song. She did get breathless more than a few times during the song. It was still very good, but more of a performance thing than showing off her vocals that I love.

I am scanning the audience whenever I can for Anthony Fedorov. Still not seen him yet, but the camera did show Constantine pouting and eye molesting. Ugh, it was icky two years ago and it remains so.

Blake Lewis - Sang "She Will Be Loved" and while the song was a good choice for his voice, I was pretty bored. Blake didn't seem all that comfortable with it either.

Still scanning the crowd and YAY I spot Anthony! No wait, its only Ricky Schroeder. I had a little girl crush on him when he was on Silver Spoons, but now not so much. I have a more grown up crush on Anthony and I still can't find him. Damn you Ricky!

Jordin Sparks - Sang "Broken Wing" and reminded me why I love her. This is my favorite performance of hers and now I am thinking I want her to win instead of Blake. Its amazing how things can change over one performance.

Now its time for the Coronation song. And yes, it is as bad as the rest of them are.

Blake Lewis - He really did his best with the song, but you could tell he despised it. I kept getting Bo Bice vibes of "I don't really want to win and sing this crap". The judges all agreed that this song was not a good fit for him.

Jordin Sparks - Did an excellent job with it. The whole vibe from the blue in the background to the flowers on the floor....it was very Disney Princess and cute. This is why she will win.

So, after all this.....Jordin is going to win. Though I am still upset about Melinda leaving last week, Jordin deserves her place.

Top 3 Results - Kill Your Television!

I'll be upfront with y'all - I did not watch tonight's American Idol. There are lots of reasons for this: 1) Allergies are kicking my butt and the medication is making me very sleepy. 2) Natasha on America's Next Top Model did NOT win and she really should have! I swear, ever since Anthony Fedorov on AI, I've had a soft spot for Russians on television competitions. 3) I checked the program guide and was annoyed to see that the results were going to be dragged for a whole hour AGAIN! and finally.....4) I spoiled myself early and read that Melinda was voted off and I am very sad about that.

Melinda is BY FAR the best singer on American Idol EVER in my opinion (Carrie being a very very close second) and that could be the very reason why she didn't make it to the Final Two. I think that my fear about her came true - people like to see improvement, growth, struggle, etc etc and Melinda was just consistently and technically GOOD every single week. There was no drama there, no Sanjaya underdog factor that Americans love. Even the judges couldn't critique her much ("as usual Melinda, that was perfect" etc etc) and some might have found that boring and by extension, maybe found Melinda herself to be boring.

Or maybe its just that more people like Jordin.

*sigh* I so wanted a Melinda/Blake Final 2, but I guess it wasn't meant to be. Although I like Jordin and have even LOVED many of her performances, I want Blake to win. There are lots of reasons why that I will probably post about next week. Right now in my sleepy state, the main reason I really want a Blake win is because there will be a plethora of CAKE stories, gossip, and "OMG are they really secret lovers and how will Blake's AI Fame affect his relationship with Chris" angst and fanwanking.

I can't wait.

Big ACM wins for Carrie!

American Idol Top 3 - Who really wants this?

What with Carrie at the ACM's tonight (Congrats blog coming later!) and the Romowood!, I am a little bit fried starting to watch American Idol tonight, so bear with me.

Judge's Choice

Jordin: Simon chose "Wishing on a Star" for her. Interesting choice, since Simon has often complained that Jordin is "old fashioned". She gave a great vocal, but it was really OLD. Randy and Paula loved it, Simon said it wasn't her best thereby crushing her instantly. Simon is really a bastard this season!

Blake: Paula chose "Roxanne". It was ok I guess, it felt like Karaoke the entire time. Agree with Simon this time, it was just an ok impersonation of Sting.

Melinda: Randy chose "I Believe in You and Me" and it was great! I actually enjoyed Melinda singing this than I ever did hearing Whitney Houston on this one.

Round One to Melinda Doolittle!

Producer's Choice

Jordin: They chose "She Works Hard for the Money" and now I smell as setup! Another OLD song for this young girl! And not a really great song IMO....about prostitution! Jordin gave it a good try, but was pretty boring during the verses and shrill at the end. The judges did like it better than I did.

Blake: Producers chose "This Love" and I LOVED IT! The song, the vibe, the perfect amount of beatbox. The whole thing just fit!

Melinda: They chose Tina Turner's "Nutbush City Limits". Melinda's vocals were as good as Tina's, but I wish she had cut loose a little more and performed as powerfully as she sang. Melinda might be too modest for it, but if she would have worn a Tina-esq outfit as well, THAT would have been incredible.

Round Two is a tie between Blake/Melinda

Idol's Choice

Jordin: Did a reprise of "I Who Have Nothing" and it was very, VERY good. I didn't have goosebumps like I did the very first time she sang it. Simon once again complained that it was old fashioned and it finally dawns on Jordin that something is up.

Blake: Sang "When I Get You Alone". Blake is a really smart guy with this song choice. He is clearly pandering to his female fans who find him sexy (myself included), but I don't mind his calculating ways. This was very VERY good, even better than "This Love" - although I wish he would've left the beatbox off this time - it wasn't necessary.

Melinda: She chose "I'm a Woman", which reminded me of when I first started loving her and it was a very solid "Melinda" performance. That said, I wish she had chosen to WOW us again with something new. Simon crowned her the winner and rightfully so.

Round 3 to Blake, though Melinda is a very VERY close second.

I think Jordin will be leaving us tomorrow night and that will be sad.

Romowood Step OUT!

After weeks of squeeing, awwwing, setbacks and consoling. The Romowoods get paid AGAIN! Yes, that is Carrie Underwood with her "Good Friend she likes to flirt with" Tony Romo.

Now Tony needs to flash that smile of his that I love.

Squee continues HERE or HERE!

New delusionfree message board!

Hi Readers and Posters!

First, I wanted to thank you for reading and posting on my blog. This whole thing first started out as kind of a fun thing between a few friends to vent and gossip about whatever we wanted re Anthony and Carrie, but it turned into something bigger and even more fun!

In a few weeks, my kids will be out of school, making me EXTREMELY busy with all their Summer activities and such, so I will not be able to blog nearly as much as I have been over the past few months. Due to that and other (good) things I foresee happening soon in my REAL LIFE, I decided to add a message board to this blog so that YOU can start whatever topics you like and discuss whatever your Anthony and Carrie loving hearts desire!

I still plan on blogging when I can and I hope you still comment! There is just no way I can possibly keep up ALL of the good things Anthony and Carrie have coming up in their lives for us to discuss. Its pretty much been established that all of us here like to talk and TALK, so have at it!

http://z4.invisionfree.com/delusionfree/index.php?

You do have to register and login to access the board, but its not a SUPERSECRET hangout or anything. It's a simple and very casual board - EVERYONE is welcome to join to either start topics, post, lurk, laugh at us - whatever you like!

Love,

Spork

Top 4 Results - Goodbye Kiki

I will make this review as short and to the point as I wish tonight's show was. American Idol has really jumped the shark with the amount of filler and pimping.

The show opens showing all the idols sitting nervously. Jordin and LaKisha look really good, Melinda is looking 10 years older again, and my Blake crush is fading fast. First with the miming that I can't get over and now that ridiculous shirt. Ryan and the judges have a fake fight and lovefest. More man on the street stuff.

Now Pink performs. I like Pink in small doses and liked the song she sang. More than Pink herself and her music, I love her and Corey Hart together. They are so cute and I will be sad when they get divorced. Ok, that was a little mean but they are a celebrity couple and we know what the odds are.

Ford Commercial: It was pretty pointless.

Group Sing: They did a medley of Gibb's greatest hits and I was pretty sure I would hate it. I pretty much did, it was boring. I am not sure if its because there were three girls to one Blake, but blehhhhhh. When they sang Emotions, I remembered how well Season 4 did with that one, even with Constantine. Then they sang part of Islands in the Stream and when they got to the "from one lover to another" part I didn't think of Canthony at all! No, I have moved on and was craving some CAKE singing that line to each other and trying not to laugh. You know that would've happened.

So now its time for the RESULTS, but no! They will drag it on for another freaking half hour. At first, I was alright with that because they interviewed the Top 4, showed cute pictures and shared anecdotes from their childhood. Then they get in a huddle and find out that Jordin is SAFE!

Barry Gibb: I wasn't a fan to begin with and have been mean enough already, so I will keep my thoughts to myself and see what you guys come up with tomorrow.

Melinda is SAFE, so that leaves Blake and LaKisha in the Bottom 2. Not at all surprised, but I hope that Blake will be around one more week because he's so cute, squishy, and sometimes damn sexy. I get my wish, he is SAFE.

Awwww, LaKisha watches her montage and tries not to cry. I thought she was a sweet girl, so I am a little sad to see her leave - it was time though. And Ryan kissed her on the cheek to console her. Has he ever done that before?

I'd like to forget this week ever happened. I think it was the worse Top 4 week in Idol history and I thought Season 3's Top 4 was pretty dismal.

American Idol Top 4 - Barry Gibb night? Ok.

I know he's had a long, successful career and all that but I AM NOT a fan of Barry Gibb or any other kind of Gibb, although I think Andy was cute for his day. I have no explanation as to why I don't like the Gibbs, its just one of those irrational things like not being able to watch any movie starring Diane Keaton. Its a very real aversion, but I can't explain why. But there is a bright spot! Judge Judy is in the audience and I love me some Judge Judy. Any woman that can say "Don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining!" with a straight damn face is my hero!

Melinda Doolittle: Sang "Inside and Out" and I just love her. Sure, this wasn't her best performance - not even close - but it was still near perfect. I could almost see her back in the Disco days singing this in Studio 54, but some of those wild disco-doin's would've shocked her. Judges were pretty meh on the performance.

Blake Lewis: Sang "You Should Be Dancing" and it was really kind of boring. The beatbox seemed kind of lame and if he would have mimed again he would have been DEAD to me. Thank God he didn't. Nice dancing though. Judges thought it was a hot mess and yeah, I have to agree.

LaKisha Jones: Sang "Stayin' Alive" and oh man she should have left this one alone! It was really bad and she knew it, her expression at the end said it all. Simon doesn't want to kiss her now and I don't blame him.

Jordin Sparks: Sang "To Love Somebody" and the judges said she was the best of the night so far! Comparing her to Blake and LaKisha, I guess....I was bored throughout the entire song.

This is really the worst night this season. Hope that Part 2 is much better.

Melinda Doolittle: Sang "How Can You Mend a Broken Heart" and it was really great. Usually, a song like this would bore me to tears but I always look forward to whatever she does.

Blake Lewis: Sang "This Is Where I Came In" and ewwww he is back to the Grandpa clothes. Actually, I really enjoyed this performance although I could see Chris Richardson doing a better job with this one. The judges didn't care for it, Simon was particularly harsh. It was much better than his first performance, but it in no way made up for it. Blake, you in danger Girl!

LaKisha Jones: Sang "Run To Me", which is a Gibb song I like! I braced myself for LaKisha to butcher it, but it turned out to be very nice. She definitely redeemed herself, even though she got a little hoarse at the end.

Jordin Sparks: Sang "Woman in Love" and it was a bit shrill in parts but alright overall. Simon was right, the song was way too old for her. Hell, it was too old for me.

So, tonight really sucked. It was so boring that I don't really care who gets voted off, unless its Melinda. I don't even want to think about that possibility though.

Top 2: Melinda and Jordin
Bottom 2: Blake and LaKisha
Leaving tomorrow: LaKisha

More on Anthony in The Fantasticks!

YAY! More Anthony Fedorov in The Fantasticks stuff for us! I am hoping for some more reviews (of the nonfan variety) and I will post them here as they come in.

I love all these pictures of Anthony lately. He looks so happy and content. And he and his girlfriend are dressed alike! HEE! My Dad and Stepmom did that when they were dating and my brother and I used to giggle, but we thought it was cute too. I had the same reaction to Anthony and Elisa matching black shirt/denim/denim jacket ensembles.

Top 5 & 6 Results - The LOVE that dares not speak its name....

Well, tonight we lose two people. Even though I have my own Bottom two, there really isn't anyone left that I am anxious to see leave. Its very different from the past two years Top 6 where I was anxious for certain contestants to leave. And they did. Whoever the two are tonight, I will miss them for different reasons.

The usual filler, even though Ryan snarked that there wouldn't be any. Usual fake banter between the judges and Ryan, man on the street stuff....bleh. Then even MORE filler after the break showing the filler from last week! And yes, Celine Dion and Elvis are still creepy.

Ryan then interviews the contestants; Blake brought his own studio, Jordin's "bad night" was last night, Phil wasn't allowed to listen to pop music growing up, just like Sligh and LaKisha makes Simon blush!

Next up is Robin Thicke and WHOA! He really is Alan Thicke's son! I had only heard the song before and never saw the artist, so I always thought this was an Urban Legend. Guess not, and now I wish I was still oblivious.

Commercial - "Paint It Black" with circus freaks. LOVE IT!

Results: Melinda, Phil and LaKisha are called down to the Seal. Melinda is SAFE! LaKisha is SAFE! Phil will be leaving us. I grew to really like him over the past few weeks and I am so glad he is going out on a high note. Of course, his Goodbye montage was made more touching with the new baby and using Carrie's ISBY. After the commercial, Jordin is SAFE and omg CAKE are in the Bottom 2, but we have to wait until after Bon Jovi to find out who is leaving!

Bon Jovi - I haven't given them much thought since the late 80's (sorry usocrazy) but I really loved their performance tonight. Damn, Jon Bon Jovi looks GOOD for his age. Exactly the same as 20 years ago, minus the ridiculous 80's hair and I kind of love them again.

Back with CAKE on the Seal! They are so cute, doing the Cake Shake, hugging up on each other, exchanging meaningful looks, Chris declaring that he would go home for Blake! ("blah blah blah. Just make out already!" says Rulz). After much suspense, its Chris that will be going home. His montage was sweet, although it was a little distracting with him in the lower corner doing a "I have to go pee" dance, but then he stops and looks a little sad. Aw.

Chris thanks everyone for getting him this far and starts his singout. He looks over at Blake, who is in the throes of ugly crying. Blake tearfully mouths "I...love....you...." to his dear lover and friend. Chris' expression softens a little, but not too much - otherwise he wouldn't be able to hold back the torrent of emotions welling inside his very SOUL. Instead, he raised a loving hand to his heart, patted it twice and signed "I love you." I heard that after taping stopped, Blake couldn't wait for Chris to finish singing and ran SOBBING into his arms. ***

To help ease the pain of watching these two lovers being RIPPED APART, I made a slideshow that expresses the glory that is CAKE. Pick a song strikes a chord deep within your CAKE heart and hum as you watch. I picked "I Had The Time Of My Life" from the Dirty Dancing soundtrack - it worked for me.

Looking forward to those Cake moments on the AI tour.

*** In case it wasn't obvious, I did take some literary license. ;P

American Idol Top 6 (Again!) - Bon Jovi Night

I am actually excited for tonight. Last week was for charity, etc but I am SO ready to be mindlessly entertained tonight. So the show starts and I am already excited to see....Antonella Barba?! Oh, and there's Gina too.

To the judges - Randy is not a fashion disaster this week - less is more Dawg. Paula looks cute, like a candy coated librarian, and Simon is Back in Black.

Now we are introduced to Bon Jovi and I instantly flashback to my early highschool years. The girl next to me in Geometry had "Slippery When Wet" written in pen on her inner thigh. Hee! What a tramp! I like Bon Jovi alright, but of the 80's hairbands Def Leppard will always have my heart and even better memories attached. ;)

Phil Stacey: Sang "Blaze of Glory" and he finally seems to really want to be there. Fugly jacket aside, this was all kinds of awesome. Perfect song for him, he no longer performs like death warmed over. His best yet and I thought he had reached his peak with the Garth Brooks song whenever that was. Randy and Paula loved it like I did, Simon thinks he is going home. Boo.

Jordin Sparks: Sang "Livin' on a Prayer". Hmmmm, this was not good. It felt awkward and her talent for expression seems to have left. She has only one expression the entire time and that was PAINED. Agree with Simon, it was "shrieky" and oh man this might send her home too soon.

LaKisha Jones: Sang "This Ain't A Love Song" and she's BACK! I thought the theme tonight would finish her for good, but she knocked it out. Perfect and Dude! Simon just kissed her on the lips! Simisha lives and I am so glad LaKisha redeemed herself after the past couple weeks.

Blake Lewis: Sang "You Give Love A Bad Name" and I am loving him with the dark hair, but then he lost me. Mime! There was miming and that I cannot take! The whole thing was very entertaining, but too much beatbox and the vocals really weren't his best. Randy and Paula still gave him a tonguebath and Simon said 1/2 will love it and 1/2 will hate it. Hate is a bit of a strong word, but really MIME?!

Want to know why Americans are annoyed by the French? Its not politics or the snootiness, its the freaking MIMES! They are more evil than clowns!

Chris Richardson: Sang "Dead or Alive". He had a really good start, but then the nostrils took over and he got twangy right before the "I'm a cowboy" part. It was all out of control from there, didn't like it at all. Chris is so cute, I want to reach out and rub that fuzzy cute head of his but that isn't enough. The judges really liked it (save Simon) which surprised me. Did they just hear and see what I did?

Melinda Doolittle: Sang "Have A Nice Day" and ohhhh I don't care for this song at all. YES! I do now! It was a perfect Melinda performance and thank God the stylists aren't dressing her like a Paralegal any longer, and this is coming from a former Paralegal.

Top 2: LaKisha Jones and Phil Stacey
Bottom 2: Chris Richardson and - ohhhh it pains me to type - Jordin Sparks
Who is going home: Jordin Sparks and Phil Stacey
